James Brown, PhD
Chair, Resilience Health Network

James has worked in the biotechnology industry for over 30 years. He is currently CEO and a co-founder of Agathos Biologics, a genetic medicine company committed to ethical pharmaceutical development. He has held senior leadership positions at Aldevron, Regenxbio, Astra Zeneca (formerly MedImmune), and Meso Scale Discovery.

James holds a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from Stanford University and a BS in Chemistry from Butler University.


Douglas VanderMeulen, MDiv
Vice Chair, Resilience Health Network

Doug was ordained to the ministry in 1986 and has pastored two churches. He was pastor at San Lorenzo Valley Baptist Church in Santa Cruz, California, and since 2003, is the preaching pastor at Community Baptist Church in Fargo, North Dakota. Douglas has preached in Belarus, Canada, throughout Cuba, Haiti, and Mexico. He hosted a weekly radio talk show discussing current events and theology on Radio Liberty.

Doug received a BA in pre-seminary studies from Cedarville University and a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.


Susan Brown
Treasurer, Resilience Health Network

Sue has served as Operations Manager at Agathos Biologics since its founding in 2021. Prior to this role she spent 20 years raising her children and providing unwavering support to her family. Prior to starting a family Sue held roles in human resources in the auction and pharmaceutical industries.

Sue graduated from California State University at Hayward (now East Bay) with a BS in Industrial Psychology .


Ron Robson
Secretary, Resilience Health Network

Ron has been actively involved in the biotechnology industry for over two and a half decades. As Chief Operating Officer, he played a pivotal role in the development and growth of Aldevron from its inception to its current state of maturity. Ron has extensive experience in non-profit organizations. He has collaborated with former felons transitioning to life after prison, a Christian mental health facility, and serves as a trustee of a prestigious university. Additionally, he holds the position of board chair and is a founder of Capstone Classical Academy.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University.
