Mission and Values
The Resilience Health Network (RHN) is a group of physicians, clinicians, and other supportive individuals who are dedicated to assisting those who have undergone masculinizing or feminizing medical interventions and wish to repair and recover their innate sex traits and function.
We connect those individuals with medical and allied health professionals who understand their unique healthcare needs and can provide evidence-based medical care. We provide education and information regarding the medical issues that result from medical and surgical sex trait interventions to those who have undergone such procedures. We also hope to provide information and resources for their families and friends who love them, for policymakers, professional medical organizations, and for the public.
Our values are:
- Biological sex is separated into the binary categories of male and female.
- Medical and surgical masculinizing and feminizing interventions are not acceptable treatments for mental health symptoms in children.
- Patients who have undergone medical and surgical masculinizing and feminizing interventions and wish to return to their innate sex phenotype deserve quality medical care and compassion without judgment.
- We respect patient autonomy. Adherence to particular beliefs, values, opinions, ideology, or religion is not a prerequisite for providing assistance.
RHN does not provide medical advice or care. Any relationships between Members and Healthcare Professionals are independent of RHN. RHN is not HIPAA compliant and does not accept any personally identifiable health information.
